Caelum was the result of almost fourteen years of speaker research. Many speaker solutions were tried during this time, but they were nowhere near as engaging as live music. Something was wrong! – Could we have been wrong about loudspeakers all those years? Focus on things such as “flat frequency response”, ”nice impedance curve” and “dead cabinets” are still the norm in conventional speaker theory. Detachment from these norms, and things started to sound like music…
Great care has been taken into every detail of this design: from the simplified hardwired crossover to the choice of building- and damping materials.
The binding posts only accept banana-plugs. This is down to our “minimal metal philosophy” shared by more and more designers these days. Internal wiring also supports this. Every single part has been chosen for its lack of colour to the sound.
A smooth, clean tonal balance with fast transient response can be expected from Caelum.

Caelum is 100% handmade - built of the finest plywood material from Finland.
During the process, Caelum goes through several phases of oil treatment and beeswax polishing. This makes the contour, grains and colour of the wood last a lifetime.
